Learn the 7 Fatima Prayers, which include the more commonly known 5 Fatima Prayers plus 2 prayers that are often forgotten.

There are countless prayers that have been handed down from the saints, but there aren’t quite as many that have been given to us directly from Heaven. In Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus gave us the Our Father, and the first half of the Hail Mary comes from the Bible as well. The seven prayers of Fatima also come directly from Heaven, given to three children in Fatima, Portugal. The first two prayers come from the Angel of Peace, the next three prayers come from Our Lady of Fatima, and the last two prayers come from Our Lord.
Among the many Church-approved Marian apparitions, the Fatima apparitions are one of the most popular. The prayers from Fatima are especially important for our time. The world needs to turn back to God and make reparation for all of the heresy and blasphemy committed against Him, as well as the irreverence for Our Lord, especially in the Blessed Sacrament. Heaven gave us the 7 Fatima prayers of adoration and reparation for this reason.
Mary also asked the three children of Fatima to pray the Rosary daily and devote themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, particularly through the First Saturday Devotion. All of these requests apply to us too! If we want peace in the world and to win souls for Our Lord, we must take the requests of Our Lady of Fatima seriously.
Who is Our Lady of Fatima?
Our Lady of Fatima is what we call Our Lady in regards to the Fatima apparitions. The Fatima apparitions are the first of five sets of Marian apparitions in the last century in which Mary asked us to pray the Rosary. The apparitions took place during World War I in Fatima, Portugal, a little village about 70 miles north of Lisbon.
From May 13, 1917 to October 13, 1917, Mary appeared monthly to three shepherd children: Lucia dos Santos, age 10, and her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto, ages 9 and 7. However, she did not reveal her name until the last apparition, when she referred to herself as “Lady of the Rosary.” During this apparition, she also performed a miracle, known as the Miracle of the Sun, in which the sun danced and whirled toward the earth for 10 minutes before returning to its normal position.
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart
Interestingly, Pope Benedict XV asked Mary to intercede for peace in the world just over a week before the first Fatima apparition. And, on July 13, when Our Lady of Fatima revealed the three secrets of Fatima to the children, she asked them to “establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end; but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI.”
Francisco and Jacinta Marto died young as prophesied by Our Lady, but Lucia continued spreading devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary until she died at 97. In 1925, Our lady of Fatima appeared to Lucia asking for the “Communions of Reparation” to her Immaculate Heart, which we now call the First Saturday devotion. And in 1929, she appeared to her again asking for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart by the Holy Father in union with all the bishops.
Our Lady of Fatima also said (on July 13, 1917), “If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.”
Consecration of Russia
From 1942 to 2013, there have been seven attempts at the consecration of Russia to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. There is a debate over whether or not any of these consecrations satisfied Mary’s request. Sister Lucia herself said that Pope John Paul II’s consecration in 1984 fulfilled Our Lady’s request. However, it does not seem that Russia has been converted yet.
Of course, there is still the other part of her request, the First Saturday Devotion. Whether or not Russia has successfully been consecrated to Mary, let us not forget to devote ourselves to her Immaculate Heart. We can do this by making the First Saturday devotion, praying the daily Rosary, and praying the Fatima prayers. And, let us not give up hope! Because Our Lady also said, “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”
How many Fatima Prayers are there?
When people refer to the Fatima Prayers, they are usually referring to the first 5 prayers of Fatima. However, there are 7 Fatima Prayers in total.
What are the 5 Fatima Prayers?
Below are the first 5 prayers of Fatima. The first two prayers come from the Angel of Peace, and the last three come from Our Lady. The first three prayers are prayers of adoration. And the last two prayers are prayers of reparation.
The Pardon Prayer
In 1916, the Angel of Peace, also known as the Angel of Portugal, appeared to the three children to prepare them for Our Lady’s first apparition in 1917. When the angel first appeared to the children, he invited them to pray with him this prayer of adoration.
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee. I ask pardon for all those who do not believe
in Thee, do not adore Thee, do not hope in Thee, do not love Thee.”
The Angel Prayer
Another time, the Angel of Peace appeared to the children holding a chalice with a bleeding host suspended above it. And, as he gave the host to Lucia and the chalice to Francisco and Jacinta, he said, “Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men. Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.” He then fell prostrate to the ground and repeated this prayer of adoration three times:
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly, and I offer Thee
the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the same Son Jesus Christ, present in
the Tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the sacrileges, outrages and indifferences
by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.
The Eucharistic Prayer
This is the first prayer Our Lady taught the three children. Like the two prayers from the Angel of Peace, this is also a prayer of adoration. The most fitting place for any of these three prayers to be said is in front of the Blessed Sacrament. However, you can say them at any time.
O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee; my God, my God, I love Thee in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
The Decade Prayer
Our Lady asked for this prayer to be added to the end of each decade of the Rosary, in reparation for our sins and for the salvation of souls.
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need.
The Sacrifice Prayer
Mary gave the children this prayer as she revealed to them the first secret of Fatima, a vision of Hell. The following month, she told the children, “Pray, pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners; for many souls go to hell, because there are none to sacrifice themselves and pray for them.” We too should offer sacrifices to Our Lord for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins. And when we do, we can say this prayer.
O my Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer this sacrifice to Thee.”

What are the 7 Fatima Prayers?
The 7 Fatima Prayers include the 5 Fatima Prayers above plus these two prayers that are often forgotten. Our Lord gave them to Lucia in 1931. You may wonder why Our Lord asked Lucia to pray to His mother instead of to Him. In response, Jesus has a strong desire for us to love His mother as our own. And Mary has a strong desire to bring us closer to Jesus. St. Louis de Montfort said, “It is through the most Blessed Virgin Mary that Jesus Christ came into the world, and it is also through her that he will reign in the world.”
Sweet Heart of Mary, be the salvation of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe and the whole
world.
By Thy pure and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, obtain for me the conversion of Russia,
Spain, Portugal, Europe and the whole world.
Conclusion
If you haven’t already, I sincerely hope this post has inspired you to devote yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by praying the prayers of Fatima, including the daily Rosary, and completing the First Saturday Devotion. However, there is nothing wrong with continuing the First Saturday Devotion after it has been “completed.”
Also, if you don’t know how to pray the Rosary, or if it’s been awhile, download my free Rosary Guide with Litany PDF. There is much reparation that needs to be made for sins against Our Lord. But always remember that God’s mercy is endless and that “in the end, [Mary’s] Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
